Certified & Classified Staff Data

As of September 15th of each year, local school districts report demographic and salary information on all district personnel.  The Professional Staff Data (PSD) reports include information on employees in positions that require a teaching certificate.  The Classified Staff Data (CSD) reports include information on employees in positions that do not require certification.  School district certified salary schedules, average salaries, and numbers of staff are in tables below:

National Board Certification Salary Reimbursement
Classified job codes and descriptions guide local school districts in defining positions by the level of training and responsibility. 

KRS 157.395 requires local districts to pay an annual salary supplement of $2,000 to teachers who attain National Board for Professional Teaching Standards certification and are employed as teachers or mentors in the field of the national certification.  Funds are provided in the state SEEK appropriation to reimburse districts for these payments.

School District Personnel Reporting
As of September 15th of each year, local school districts report demographic and salary information on all district personnel. The information in the reports is drawn from the districts' MUNIS payroll systems. Reports are edited by the Department of Education, and error reports are distributed to local district PSD and CSD contact staff and Department field staff. Below is a guide to resolving errors and a list of district contact staff.

Superintendent Compensation
This provides annual superintendent salary and benefit information from the district only. Any retirement of health benefits provided by the state are not included as they are paid for all employees. The Kentucky Department of Education began collection and reporting of this information in the 2014-15 school year.  The collection window is between July 1 and August 31 of each year; however, updates/revisions may be provided by districts at any time.  Initial data will be posted in September of each year, with updates being provided quarterly to display any new or revised information.  Contract and benefits information for the Commissioner of Education is also available here
 
Definitions:
Commute: This means the superintendent gets to drive a board owned vehicle to work and back home and for personal use.
Amount: Annual Amount
