The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Office of Special Education and Early Learning, Division of State Schools, has an opening for a KSB/KSD Housekeeping Supervisor II at the Kentucky School for the Blind in Louisville.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Oversees and supervise all the housekeeping and / or laundry functions to maintain the general appearance and cleanliness of the facility.
Inspect the work of the staff to ensure the proper cleaning and finishing of all items managed by the unit.
Coordinates facility readiness for all events and activities.
Maintains a complete inventory of all janitorial, linen, laundry, and equipment.
Order all janitorial, linen, laundry, supplies, and equipment.
Prepares and maintains records and reports of housekeeping operation.
Coordinates the collection and distribution of laundry, resident's clothing, uniforms, and linens with all related units of the facility.
Create work schedules.
Plan and organize Policies & Procedures for Housekeeping Department. In accordance with the Policies and Procedures for KSB.
Recruits, interviews, and selects the employees.
Trains housekeeping employees in the proper performance of their duties.
Performs other duties as assigned.
