DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Teach occupational preparatory classes within a career and technical education program.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Must hold the Rank III Kentucky teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught;
ORMust hold a Kentucky Statement of Eligibility in the subject area to be taught;
ORFour years of appropriate work experience, two of which must be in the last five years.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Current certification, registration, and/or licensure in the following occupations – registered nurse, physician assistant, medical laboratory technology, radiology technology, or respiratory therapy.
SALARY: Dependent on rank and experience

The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) Office of Career and Technical Education (OCTE) operates 50 Area Technology Centers (ATCs) which serve 115 local feeder districts. The Area Technology Centers under the Office of Career and Technical Education are organizationally part of the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), a service agency within the Commonwealth of Kentucky under the Education and Workforce Development Cabinet. KDE supports the ATCs through guidance, resources, and oversight as part of its broader mission to ensure success for every student in Kentucky's P-12 public education system.
