The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Office of Finance and Operations, Division of School and Community Nutrition (SCN), Schools Branch, Programmatic Delivery Section, has an opening for a Child Nutrition Program Supervisor in Frankfort.
This supervisor will lead a team of child nutrition consultants and training development specialists, who are responsible for providing training and creating tools and resources for program operators of the USDA School Meal Programs, including the National School Lunch Program.
Key responsibilities include:
Participating in public speaking events.
Developing training and resource content.
Leading large training sessions across the state with the team.
Assisting in program promotion and campaign efforts.
This role also involves collaborating with stakeholders across the state, such as school nutrition directors and other school administrators, and traveling to school districts to provide direct technical assistance to child nutrition staff. The ultimate goal of SCN is to help sponsors of the National School Lunch Program offer nutritious, high-quality meals to students across Kentucky during the school day.
