The Kentucky Department of Education, Office of Special Education and Early Learning, Division of State Schools, has an opening for a Student Development Associate at the Kentucky School for the Deaf in Danville.​

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform beginning level duties in providing supervision and instruction to students at the Kentucky School for the Deaf
  • Provide active and vigilant supervision to students in dormitories. Complete physical rounds every fifteen minutes.
  • Escort and supervise students to cafeteria, recreational activities and school sponsored events.
  • Provide tutoring and homework assistance to students with varying learning styles, abilities and motivational levels and monitor study time.
  • Plan and implement outings and educational programs to reinforce life skills and ASL/English mastery striving to provide the best language accessible learning environment.
  • Maintain records pertinent to dorm operations and discipline and decorate seasonally with home-like touches.
  • Supervise athletic practices and games
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

***This is a 2nd shift position. The hours are Sunday – Thursday 3:15 p.m. – 11:45 p.m.***

Gross Monthly Salary Range: $2,236.16 - $3,354.34
