Matt Ross was named associate commissioner in the Kentucky Department of Education's (KDE's) Office of Finance and Operations in Oct. 2023. He joined KDE in Sept. 2015 as an executive policy advisor.
Ross earned his Master of Laws degree at the University of Miami School of Law, a Juris Doctor at the University of Dayton School of Law, and a bachelor's degree at the University of Kentucky. Prior to joining KDE, he served as an analyst for the Kentucky Legislative Research Commission and as an attorney for the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy.
