Kentucky Academic Standards for Mathematics
The
Kentucky Academic Standards (KAS) for Mathematics put forth expectations to ensure student proficiency in mathematics, enabling graduates to be empowered and equipped with the knowledge and skills to be successful in a complex and competitive world. The standards emphasize the importance of the mathematical practices; whereby, equipping students to reason and problem solve. The standards also emphasize procedural skill and fluency, building from conceptual understandings to application and modeling with mathematics, in order to solve real world problems.
