Updated KDE Numeracy Test Structures and Report for 2026-2027

Several small changes to KDE Numeracy test structures and the associated report are coming for the 2026-2027 school year.

To allow for broader usage across grade levels, all KDE test structures for universal screener assessments have been updated to remove the word “Early" from the name for both literacy and numeracy test structures. For example, the test structure previously named, “KDE Early Numeracy MAP Growth Screener" is now called “KDE Numeracy MAP Growth Screener" allowing for usage with students in grades K-12.

A new “result" field has also been added to all literacy and numeracy state test structures to allow for the collection of benchmark categories.

Please see the updated KDE Literacy and Numeracy Test Recording in Infinite Campus guidance document for instructions to batch upload student universal screener data.

The report associated with these test structures has also been renamed from “Early Numeracy Universal Screener Report" to “Numeracy Universal Screener Report." The report has also been expanded to include uploaded universal screener data for students in all grade levels and the MAF Student Detail version of the report still returns values for students in MAF schools only. Please see the QRC for the Numeracy Universal Screener Report for more information on how to run the report.

The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) will pull data on October 30, January 30 and May 30. Records must be updated by those dates.

Please email Tania Arnett with any questions.
