As of September 15th of each year, local school districts report demographic and salary information on all district personnel. The Professional Staff Data (PSD) reports include information on employees in positions that require a teaching certificate. The Classified Staff Data (CSD) reports include information on employees in positions that do not require certification.

School District Personnel Reporting
As of September 15th of each year, local school districts report demographic and salary information on all district personnel. The information in the reports is drawn from the districts' MUNIS payroll systems. Reports are edited by the Department of Education, and error reports are distributed to local district PSD and CSD contact staff and Department field staff. Superintendent Compensation
Senate Bill 2 (2026 Regular Session) establishes new requirements related to superintendent compensation, contract transparency, and public access to superintendent contract documents. To support district compliance, the Kentucky Department of Education has updated its Superintendent Compensation reporting process.
Effective July 15, 2026, school districts must
publish and submit to KDE, within 30 days of execution, each superintendent contract, amendment, renewal, extension, or addendum. Districts must submit both a fully executed scanned copy and an accessible electronic text version of the document.
Required documents must be submitted through the
SEEK District Data Submission application. Districts must also post the documents on their district website and ensure electronic documents meet applicable
Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA accessibility requirements.
These requirements promote transparency, accessibility, and public access to superintendent contract and compensation information.
