What is RAMP?

The Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP) recognizes schools committed to delivering comprehensive, data-informed school counseling programs. These programs, which align with the ASCA National Model, exemplify school counseling at its best.

Why RAMP?

Advocating for yourself and your program is imperative to show all stakeholders the impact you have on your students, staff, and community! RAMP will showcase your school as a nationally-recognized counseling program and includes MANY benefits!

How do I know if my program is ready?

ASCA provides this self-assessment tool to determine if your program is ready for RAMP.  The entire process is based on the ASCA National Model Implementation Guide, 2nd Edition.  This is a great resource to help you get started.

Process of RAMP

Applying for RAMP is a marathon, not a sprint.

  • Applications are due by October 15th each year.

  • Your counseling team will use the ASCA monthly checklist to ensure you are staying up to date with the yearlong process.

  • The scoring rubric focuses on 10 components of a comprehensive counseling program.
