Universal Design for Learning (UDL)

​​​Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is an educational practice that works in unison with differentiated instruction. According to the National Center on Universal Design for Learning, UDL is, “a set of principles for curriculum development that give all individuals equal opportunities to learn.

• Lesson Plan/Videos: When teachers plan lessons using UDL, they are creating "a rich learning environment that is designed around the needs of all students, not just those with identified needs."  Universal Design for Learning is an effective instructional approach that promotes curriculum accessibility for all learners by incorporating Digital Learning opportunities. This increases engagement in the classroom, thus addressing achievement gaps for targeted populations of students. ​
