The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Office of Teaching and Learning, has an opening for an Assistant Data Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the general direction of the Data Controller and Research Analyst, participate in the development, quality assurance and analysis of teaching and learning program data, perform data audits, and assist with Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) agency data reporting and communication.
Support data collection for early literacy and early numeracy initiatives.
Support data stewards for the Office of Teaching and Learning with Infinite Campus projects, data quality, and reporting for program areas including the Mathematics Achievement Fund, Read to Achieve, Intervention, Early Graduation Program, Course Codes, Advanced Coursework and Exams, Extra Year in Primary, and Title II, Part A.
Support data quality and manage upload and verification of all Office of Teaching and Learning School Report Card data including Advanced Coursework and Exams, General Education Coursework, and Extra Year in Primary. Monitor School Profile Report collector items completion. Provide technical assistance to local school districts and schools as related to ensuring accurate School Report Card data.
Assist with annual review and update of academic state course codes within the Kentucky Educator Certification System.
Support Office of Teaching and Learning survey administration and analysis, including High-Quality Instructional Resources Survey, legislatively required Multi-Tiered Systems of Support survey, and legislatively required School Counselor Use of Time Survey.
Serve on various cross-functional KDE teams representing the Office of Teaching and Learning as needed, including serving on Technology Planning Committee and as back up for the Data Governance Committee.
Test data related to data requests on an as-needed basis, including but not limited to Civil Rights Data Collection, P20 data files, internal and external data requests.
Perform other duties as assigned.

NOTE: This position is eligible for consideration for a hybrid schedule that allows for a combination of in-office and approved alternative work scheduling. The agency may terminate or modify the telecommuting arrangement at any time.
NOTE: This position will be filled through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). The applicant selected for this position must be an employee of a Kentucky local school district or institution of higher education.
