The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Office of Educator Licensure and Effectiveness (OELE), Division of Educator Preparation & Certification, Educator Preparation Branch in Frankfort (Franklin County) has an opening for an Education Program Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Educator Program Manager will be responsible for collaborating with the Office of Educator Licensure, Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB), and to oversee and facilitate the processes and procedures defined in 16 KAR 5:010 and 16 KAR 5:040 related to educator preparation program review and approval and accreditation as well as provide consultative services and technical assistance to local school district personnel, educator preparation providers and other state and private educational agencies for pre-service educator programs.
Supervise professional staff providing consultative services and technical assistance to local school district personnel and other state and private educational agencies in the development, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of educational programs.
Develop, recommend, and implement procedures, guidelines, and criteria for evaluating educator preparation programs for continued program approval.
Prepare and coordinate Accreditation Audit Committee meetings related to educator preparation continued program approval. Prepare and present program information to the Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB) for consideration and action items related to educator preparation programs, program approval and accreditation.
Manage Admission and Exit System for program enrollment. Manage and monitor preservice assessment requirements for teacher certification.
Review state statutes and regulatory requirements, including standard alignment, as they pertain to continued program review.
Assist with Accreditation visits and processes as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must be a graduate of a college or university with a Master's degree in education or related field and must have six years of professional experience in education, vocational education, or a related field.

Current Rank II or Rank I certification by the Education Professional Standards Board will substitute for the required educational requirement. Additional professional experience in the field of education will substitute for the required educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Applicants currently under contract with a local school district are required to provide a written release from their superintendent prior to an offer of employment is given.
In accordance with KRS 161.220 the applicant selected for this position will become a member of the Teachers' Retirement System.

Gross Monthly Salary Range: $ 4,652.86 - $5,686.20.
