The Kentucky Department of Education, Office of Career and Technical Education, Lake Cumberland Area Technology Center in Russell Springs, KY has an opening for a Carpentry Instructor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach occupational preparatory classes within a career and technical education program.
Perform other duties as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must hold the Rank III Kentucky teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught;
OR
Must hold a Kentucky Statement of Eligibility in the subject area to be taught;
OR
Four years of appropriate work experience, two of which must be in the last five years.
SPECIAL REQIOREMENTS:
Must be able to acquire the personal national certifications applicable to the program area (NCCER, ABC, AGC etc.). Applicant can be hired without the required personal (NCCER) instructor certification, but must acquire the needed certification at the next available testing period.
In accordance with KRS 161.220 the applicant selected for this position will become a member of the Teachers' Retirement System.
