In April 2025, SPPO will host a three-day National Spring Webinar Series. See event details and registration information below.

  • ​​​April 16 - FERPA 101 and Data Security Best Practices, 2-4 p.m. (ET) covers the basics of FERPA and provides training on current data security best practices for education data systems.
  • April 23 - FERPA 201 and Transparency, 2-4 p.m. (ET) dives into scenarios faced by schools and districts and highlights PTAC’s research on transparency.
  •  April 30 - Incident Response and Vetting Educational Technology, 2-4 p.m. (E​​T) leads participants through a simulated data breach and explores how to assess online educational technology for privacy protections and general FERPA compliance.

How to receive EILA credit for KSIS training
 
  1. Register for an EILA-eligible training session
  2. Participate in the live training either via Teams online meeting or in-person
  3. Complete the post-training survey and attendance self-attestation (Those who register will receive the survey after the training event.)
